Kyle’s Journey in Armenia

Just Another Peace Corps Blog

  • Kyle? In Armenia?

My name is Kyle, and I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Noyemberyan, Armenia. I lived here from 2006-2008, and worked as an Information Technology volunteer for the US Peace Corps. In addition to my primary assignment developing my region's WiFi internet, I also taught computer and English classes to area youth. Thank you for visiting!

This blog remains available for historical purposes, but is no longer actively maintained.

The Real World: Bazum

Myself and another volunteer, Cheryl, put together a video for our going away party, with a lot of the pictures of our families and set it to music, along with some great video clips. I uploaded a compressed and subtitled version for everyone to download. It’s about 6mb, so it might be slow if you have dialup. I can also send it on CD if anyone would like a copy – please email me. Anyway, enjoy!

I noticed that you have the video uploaded to this server… not many people are going to be able to enjoy it at those speeds. I recommend finding a third-party host for it, maybe even YouTube.

Thanks so much for your awesome website, photos, and The Video! We figure we will not see Kathy’s pix until 2008. It is wonderful to see yours and read your postings! Congrats on your swearing-in and good wishes toward your work in your new village. I have forwarded the link to this video page to Kathy’s kids and many others. Thanks so much for sharing! – Monica
